At Vigor, we believe wellness is a lifestyle; it’s about the pursuit of health, strength, and connection through exploration and experience.

The idea and benefits of a sauna are not new. Actually, they go way back; like 2,000 BC way back. But the idea for Vigor started around 2014 when owner, Kinsey Durgin, saw a mobile sauna while traveling in Sweden. The seed was planted. Having a background in custom building and a true dreamer attitude, Kinsey immediately thought “I can build that”. And he would! Just not for a few more years.

Before making his dream a reality, Kinsey traveled with athletes on sports travel tours for nearly a decade. He tried saunas in countries like Italy, Hungary, Denmark, Germany, and even the sauna motherland of Finland. In his years of travel and a former college athlete and fitness enthusiast, he noticed that no matter the country, the culture, the customs, the sports being played or the physical ability of the people sharing the experience, it was about just that; the experience. It was about the connection with others. It was about the thrill of trying something new, sharing an adventure or connecting with community. It was about stepping out of your comfort zone and allowing yourself to maybe hate something, or to maybe love it. 

Fast forward 10+ years, a career change, a wife, two dogs, and a kid later, Kinsey has continued his passion for fitness and melded it with his love for sauna and connection. With a goal to make it accessible to everyone, the idea for a mobile sauna and cold plunge was born; Vigor Sauna.
